Donna Lynn Thomas has been sewing since age four and quilting since 1975. It has carried her happily through her earlier years as an Army wife and the many years and moves since. She has taught nationally and internationally and is the author of seven books published by Martingale, Inc., including Shortcuts - both imperial and metric versions and 4 foreign language translations. In 2008 Kansas City Star Books published her book, Portable Patchwork: Who Says You Can’t Take It With You!
Martingale, Inc., will release Donna’s latest venture, Flip Your Way to Fabulous Quilts: Taking Folded Corners to New Heights, in May 2011. Applying the folded corner concept to squares, rectangles and triangles teaches quilters how to make all kinds of new striped shapes and fun quilt blocks from folded layers.
Currently living in Kansas with her husband, Donna provides staff assistance to three cats and a dog. All her quilts are lovingly pre-furred!
