Debra Gabel - www.zebrapatterns.com

Born in New York, Debra started sewing as a child and quilting as a teen.  After several moves around the US Debra settled in Maryland armed with a BFA degree in Graphic Design. 

She worked for many years as an Art Director in the packaging industry before forming an independent graphic design business, Mixed Media in 1988. 

After rediscovering quilting in the late 1990’s, Debra started teaching quilting locally and has steadily built up her own pattern line that includes florals, birds, butterflies, Bible stories, signature stamps, baby quilts and other projects. 

Her book, Quilt Blocks Across America, was published in 2010.
